Q: What is vintage fabric? Where do you get your fabrics?
A:
All of our items are made from fabrics mostly from the 1940's, 50's, and 60's like brocade, chenille, and bark cloth. We purchase our fabrics wherever we can find them - mostly estate sales and flea markets. Usually we find them in the form of drapes, slip covers, bedspreads, etc.

Q: How are Pocka Booka bags constructed?
A:
Our bags remain closed by two grommets attached to both sides of the bag opening. A ribbon or hook closure - made from the handles of vintage silver spoons - laces through these grommets to keep the bag closed. For normal use, your hand will fit comfortably into the bag without removing the closure. The ribbon can be untied or the silver spoon closure can be unhooked to allow larger items to fit inside. All of our bags are lined with coordinating fabrics. There are no pockets inside our bags.

Q: Where can I purchase you products?
A:
Our products are for sale online and craft shows throughout the spring, summer, and fall (please see the UPCOMING SHOWS page for our schedule). We also do private home parties locally - please contact us for more information.

Q: Do you make custom orders?
A:
Yes, please contact us to discuss your request. In the past our favorite custom order has been making a Pocka Booka bag from a customer's mother's wedding gown - she used it on her own wedding day! We are all for recycling your cherished heirlooms into bags or children's jackets.
